Wordless Wednesday... (well a few words)

Kennedi's new trick!!

I did it!

I can see outside

look mama... no hands

music time...

...dismount!

and it also includes steps!! She tries to climb everything... the TV stand, couches, ottoman.. whatever!

at least it's not the flu again!

Avery felt great last night and then again this morning when he woke up. He decided that he would be able to go to school so he went through his morning routine and headed out to the front porch to wait for the bus. It was raining here again this morning (I know that is so hard to believe) so he stayed covered.

Avery and Conner are heading to their dads house today after school and will be home tomorrow. I got a text from his dad saying that he was on his way to pick up Avery and that he had a doctors appointment at noon. Poor kid!! His head and throat was hurting him.

When I got to the doctor there we no indications that he was sick. He was running a little bit of a temp but nothing much but with all that he was still talking a mile a minute.

We went back into the room and Kennedi saw the nurse and must have thought "oh crap" (Kennedi, not the nurse) and she ran to me and hung on to me. I guess she has a great memory. The past few times we have been to the doctor with her she has gotten shots. I guess now it registered. It was so nice to have Kennedi holding me tightly while sitting in my lap, since that never happens.

Anyway, Avery is all clear and only has a sinus infection. Sheesh this has been a pain!! We have NEVER EVER gotten the flu shot before and he has been sick with something since a week after we had gotten it. I know it is just coincidence but man that is bad timing.

It always happens to Avery...

My poor Avery..... two weeks ago he had the swine H1N1 flu and strep throat at the same time. Then last night he started to complain that his throat hurt again. I figured this was an excuse to get out of school until I felt his head. He had a fever once again of 101.3. No school for Avery! But that was not all for last night.

Apparently while I was rocking Kennedi last night he had a chair fall on his foot. I had no idea this happened. He said he screamed and called for me but I guess being almost totally deaf in one ear has its advantages (it is a lot easier to tune kids out). So he hobbles up to my room a little while later and while showing me his wounded foot, he leaned back and whacked his head on my bed's foot board. I look at him trying to hold back my laughter (but of course I didn't) and said, "well I guess your foot doesn't hurt anymore." Its OK, he cracked up then too.

So Avery got a day off of school today. He woke this morning and was ok but very tired. Of course that 24 hour fever rule was in effect. He slept most of the day today and then did some school work that his teachers emailed me. Yes I was a mean mom and made him do work while he was home sick.

As it stands now, Avery is OK, going back to school tomorrow and I am holding my breath wondering if and who that little virus will hit next.

Conner had his baseball conditioning today and came home completely worn out. He said it was a rough day! I love it that they are getting their tales worked.

Kennedi had a great day in school today. She cried for about 30 seconds when I left her and when I picked her back up 4 hours later she was playing so nicely. Her teacher said he did great and didn't cry during the day!! Oh, its the little things that I so appreciate!

Here is what she wore to school today... So cute!!

This is her new Auburn outfit that I got at the fair today!!! It was a great deal and I LOVE IT!! Pillowcase dress and Capri's.....

WAR DAMN EAGLE!!!

It's October already?!?!?!

This weather is GREAT!! I am starting to love October, I just hope it stays like this.

I am getting so bad about this. It has been a week since the last time I blogged and I can not think of what happened this week. I know there were some things I wanted to mention and of course they are gone. I really need to keep paper and pen or maybe use the memo on my phone. Gotta get into that habit.

Saturdays mornings in the fall usually mean games for Conner and/or Avery. Today was just Avery's lacrosse game. They lost 7-2 but man did Avery play well! I sat down on the end and could hear the way he communicates with his teammates and helps them "see" what they can't in the middle of plays. He had some great checks today too. Avery is also FINALLY growing into his D-pole. We have been meaning to cut it but it slips our mind until we see him out on the field again. By the looks of it I do not think it will need to be cut. Avery just maybe growing!!

These pictures are actually from last weekend. I was by myself at the game with Kennedi so that meant no chance for picture taking. Hopefully next weekend I will be able to take some more. Chris is off on Saturday so he will be there to chase the littlest monster.

There was no tournament scheduled for Conner's baseball team this weekend, which was great news to me!!

The first weekend in October also means it is time for the "Cotton Pickin Fair". This is usually a pretty neat little fair out in the country. This year it was not so neat! Well the fair itself was but the traffic getting to it... not so much. I think they need to relocate to something other than a small country road. But anyway, Kennedi and I had a girls day today and spent a few hours there after Avery's game. She was so good!! I actually went looking for some specific things and only found a couple of things. Yay for the wallet!! I did not spend nearly as much as I thought I was going to. One thing that I bought for Kennedi is so adorable! I am going to post some pictures later when she wakes from her nap.

Chris got out of the girls day, which is good since he is not a girl and if he went I could not call it a girls day! He took a 2 hour drive (1 way) to Warner Robbins and went to his son, Dakota's 6th birthday party. This was pretty cool for Chris because he has not seen Dakota since December (due to issues with his ex wife). Chris seemed to have a good time.

The pictures are not the best quality.... I still need to show Chris the different settings on the camera but they will do....

Ahh time to get something for dinner so we can hopefully get home before the Auburn-Tennessee Kickoff.... WAR EAGLE!!!!
