WAY TO GO BOBBY!!!

My dad just sent me an email that he had received from his brother. My Uncle Bob's oldest son, Bobby, is currently serving a 1 year tour in Baghdad. He was honored while on a short leave recently. Now most of you would think it was some organization like the Lions Club (as my uncle put it) for his service to our country but instead it is Yuengling Beer!! The Stevens Family (and all the extensions) is proud!!

WAY TO GO BOBBY!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SERVICE!!

STAY SAFE!!!

Well, earlier I said that I was going to write more but guess what.... that didn't happen! Life happens, I got busy running around getting the last minute things needed and just now got finished. Well I am sure that this weekend at some point I will be able to sit down and catch up.

HAPPY SPRING BREAK EVERYONE!!

Fun Friday!!

Wow its been a week since I last sat down to blog. I guess I have been a little busy trying to get everyone (and the house) ready for spring break... woo hoo less than 8 hours and the kids are officially on spring break. They are so excited, it doesn't matter how old they get, they are so excited for a little get-a-way. I have to say that I am not as excited about this. I am getting a little nervous! It has been 12 years since I have had to pack for a baby!! I hope that I have everything that we will need. I am a little worried because I do not have a lot of stuff to bring for Kennedi. I have the normal suitcase and extra bag with diapers, wipes, bottles, toys, etc. I remembered having a TON of things in the car when I travelled with the boys at a young age. Well I guess as I need things I will find out if I have packed enough or not. Cross your fingers for me!!

I am also a little worried about the drive! Conner and Avery were always such wonderful travelers. It was not stressful at all to drive with them when they were babies. It was only when they got older that it got stressful (with the arguing) but even then it was not too bad. This is the first trip for Kennedi and I am a little worried about how she will do. She will of course have the boys in the back with her keeping her entertained but I am hoping that all three of them get some sleep time in.

Well I hear some talking coming out of her crib so I guess it is going to be a short one (until nap time). I still have some pictures to put up for the week. See ya in a few hours!

Let's get the prayers going....

Yesterday Conner came home to tell me that Abby A, a girl we have known forever was diagnosed this week with osteosarcoma. Abby and Conner have been buddies since they were about a year and a half old. They lived across from us in our old neighborhood and they live in the same neighborhood we are in now. Abby is just 5 months older than Conner and is a 9th grader at the high school. I do not know a lot at the moment and did not want to keep her dad on the phone for long but I wanted to let him know that we would be praying them. I did get that it is in her knee and that there is a course of action in place. I hope to get updates from time to time and pass them on so that we can all see how the power of prayer can work!!
Get those prayer chains in full gear!!

WE ARE ALL PRAYING FOR YOU ABBY!!!

This week in review..

Well its Friday and its raining once again. It seems like every other weekend we have rain. I am sure that Avery's lacrosse game will be cancelled tomorrow as well as Conner's opening day. I am really ready to spend all day on Saturday at the ball fields (and no that is not sarcasm). I guess we have to wait a few more weeks for that.
We are off the next two weekends because of spring break. Actually we are all going to head up to the beach. I can't wait! Chris has a week off (its a miracle) and he needs it. He has been taking only one and sometimes two days off a week for a few months.
Kennedi is really a ton of fun! She literally does something new everyday. This week she learned a lot of new noises and smacking her lips and its hilarious to watch her. Some of the noises she makes are so cute and I can't even mimic them. The other day she was sitting on the floor playing with this big wood block thing she has and when I looked up at her she was kneeling. I out her back sitting and watched as she pulled herself up to a kneel. I guess she could not reach the top of the toy sitting so she wanted to get closer. She has been pulling herself to a stand using my fingers ahead of her but this was the first time I saw her do it on something all by herself. Another new thing is that she now will get on all fours and rock. Chris thinks that she is going to take off crawling any time now. I am hoping not!!
I think that is all that is going on for now. I saw that I had not posted in awhile and wanted to add the little that was going on this week.
Have a great weekend....
