I just had to take am minute to post this video from last night. After Chris got off of work he met me at Conner's baseball game. We finally got to play another game after so many rainouts!! Chris stopped at Subway and got a couple of subs. He got one with spicy mustard on it and Kenendi being the big eater she is wanted some of Daddy's food. Chris broke off some pieces and game them to her and she did not seem to mind the spicy mustard at all. I am waiting on the after effects today.. ick! I guess Kennedi was not satisfied with the way Chris was feeding her..... enjoy!!
Conner's team won the game last night. YAY Nationals!!! We still have 2 more games this week. I hope they continue to play like they played last night. The game went all 7 innings, which is very rare since we also have a time limit. It was a pretty close game until one of the last innings and we pulled ahead by about 7 runs (I think). We almost let it go but ended up winning 8-5. GREAT GAME!!
Avery is done with Lacrosse and I think he is enjoying a little down time and being able to be a kid again. 12 days left of school and that can't end soon enough!!!

Mother's Day....
Mother's Day was great this year! It started pretty early. Apparently Kennedi did not get the memo telling her that this is one of the days she is supposed to sleep late. Usually she sleeps until at least 8am but today she was up before 7am. Normally I would have kicked Chris and made him get up with her since it was Mother's Day but he got a free pass today since he didn't get off work until 3am. Chris did not sleep in too late. He made eggs and bacon for all of us before we headed out to mass. It was really good!!
We relaxed most of the day. We also tried to take a nap when Kennedi was napping but with three other kids in the house (Conner had a friend over) it was impossible to get any shut eye. Later this afternoon Chris grilled some steaks that we had gotten and I made some veggies to go with them. It was a great dinner!! I opted for this instead of going out for mom's day since all the restaurants are way too packed! It was a very relaxing day.
The last part of the day the boys wanted to take me out for ice cream. I think this was the best part of the day. We all got our favorites and Kennedi loved the free baby cone from Brewster's. I thought that I was taking a video of her eating it at one point but then I looked down and it was not recording. I did start to record after that but I missed the best part. It was hilarious and I am so mad it did not record. She had the cone over her nose and mouth trying to get the ice cream. Very cute! But I did get these two pictures of her eating her first ice cream cone.

Before the boys left for the week at their father's house we took a few pictures of me with the kiddies.... I forgot my hair was up in the pony tail and we were laughing in most of them. Its hard to get a serious picture taken with the crew I have!! Theydrive me are nuts at times but they are the best kids in the world. I would not trade them in for anything!!

Then last summer came Kennedi and wow does she have her brother's wrapped!!
The boys just left for the week and soon Kennedi will be in bed (I hope). I guess it is going to be an early night for me. I am surprised that Chris is still awake. Three more days until Conner's procedure on his arm to get the rest of the mole that was removed a couple weeks ago. He has already informed me that he will still play in his baseball game on Thursday. I hope that he will be up to it!!! Keep him in your prayers this week that it won't be too painful for him when its over.
Oh I almost forgot another first for Kennedi. Yesterday Averywalked crawled up the stairs and Kennedi saw him do this. Well guess who else now climbs up the stairs!! I really need to get gates for at least the bottom of the steps. Seeing it one time she had it figured out!! Not good!!

Oh What A Night...
..late December back in '63
oh wait that's not right, that's a song..How about...Oh What A Day!! I am worn out!! Poor Chris had to work the 5pm to 3am shift again today. As of right now he is there and only 3 hours into the shift. Whew.. better him than me!!
I decided a few weeks back to take the boys (and Kennedi) to the Georgia Tech baseball game. I figured this was a good one to go to since 1)Chris had to sleep all day and the kids and I would be gone so he could do that and 2)It was a game that Chris would not be able to go to since he had to work and he REFUSES to go to Tech for anything unless they are playing Georgia.
I had never been to a college baseball game and the boys have been asking all season to go to a tech game. I think they also wanted to go because they have 2 cousins that go there and they are so proud of them! One of those is who Conner wants to be just like. Hmmmm.... yeah I think that is a good thing! Its funny, he did a project in school at one point in the past couple of years and it asked who his role model was. He stated that it was David, his cousin. David goes to Tech... Conner wants to go to Tech. David wants to go to med school... Conner wants to go to med school (I think Conner wanted med school before he knew David did but it still adds to it). David wants to go into orthopedics... Conner wants to do the same (whew since he really wanted to go into neuro-surgery at one point... THANK YOU DAVID!!).
OK now back to the college baseball game. We went down to Tech today and met David (imagine that) and Karen (my sister, Davids mom). It was a great game! I had thought that it was going to get rained out but not even close. It drizzled for about 2 minutes. It was very HOT out there!! The boys enjoyed the game and although I wish the ending was different, it was a great game! I think I may like college games a little better than pro games. You are so much closer to the field, they are so exciting and I guess it helps that these kids want to be out there, its still fun for them and are OK with not making millions of dollars. I just wish that I had brought my camera!
I hope Conner got a little inspired. He did say he watched the way the teams warmed up and it was amazing how organized they are! I did catch him really paying attention to the game and the players. I think it was a good move taking him down there because a college game is a little more realistic than the pro games for these kids. Not that he is going to play in college but I know he would love it if that is the path he decides he wants to take.
Kennedi did a pretty good job. Poor baby did not have a nap all day until the ride home. I guess I need to say she was VERY good considering that. She got to eat some new foods too. I am not sure if I had mentioned that she is really starting to boycott baby food. She will eat a little of it but nothing like she used to. Today she got a taste of hot dog and bun. Don't worry it was a teeny piece of hot dog and it was almost like I chewed it up first (it was that soft and little) and she had rice too. She is a PIG!
Now we are back home and Conner is waiting for a friend to get here and I am waiting to be done with this blog so I can head up to bed (and its only 8:10pm). I am so tired.... Oh yeah.... yes dad I did sunscreen all the kids up. While in the process of that I forgot to sunscreen myself so my face is a little crisp but I got the important ones! There is no way that I could allow Conner to get even a little pink with him going to the Dermatologist on Wednesday for his procedure.
I guess that is all for today. I am sure at some time tomorrow I will post about Mother's Day but in case I don't get a chance...
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you mom's out there. Even the ones that are sitting at the beach house, doing absolutely nothing but relaxing and enjoying the sand, sun and water... you know who you are (and I think there maybe more than one up there at the moment)! I hope y'all enjoy your VACATION!!

9 months old!!!
Ok so I am a day late on this!! Even worse is that I did not take a picture of Kennedi at 9 months. So much for mother of the year! Well then again I guess I blew that last night when Kennedi ate puffs and french fries and a bottle for dinner while at Conner's baseball scrimmage (which they lost). What else do you feed a baby that only has 2 bottom teeth and is refusing to eat baby food or any other food that she can not feed herself. Frustrating!!
This morning we took Kennedi for her 9 month appointment. NO SHOTS!!! It was a great day! Her stats are:
19 lbs 1 1/2 ounces (50th percentile)
29 inches (90th percentile)
She is LONG and SKINNY!!
I guess that is about it. Its going to be nuts in the house tonight. Avery has a friend coming over and Conner is over at a friends house for a little while and may have a friend over when he comes home. Whew the life with teens (and almost teens). Chris will be in bed early I am sure. He got home from work at 4am and then was up about 8:30 for Kennedi's doctors appointment and he has been going ever since with yardwork and cleaning the house (yes I did help with both). He looks as if he is going to fall over any minute.

While you were away.....
Well there is really nothing much to report. Last night we went to Conner's Junior Beta Club induction. I got a few pictures from that but my camera is not that great anymore and is horrible with inside shots. I kept pushing the button to take the pictures but it would not take so of course I missed him getting the certificate. Just another reason why I am saving up for another camera. Still working on how to save up for it but I guess it helps that this morning the news did give a salary to Stay at home moms. $127,000 a year is the figure they came up with. Wow I could buy a few cameras with that!! Now how do I collect??
Anyway, back to the blogging (or lack there of). My parents went to the beach for a month. They left 2 weeks ago and are really worried that by the time they got back (in just a month) that Kennedi would have gone off to college already. I have gotten and email (or two) and a call (or two) telling me that I need to update the blog WITH PICTURES. I think that is the price they pay for spending a month relaxing in the warm sun, feet in the sand and enjoying the ocean's waves! OK more like spending a month slaving at the house getting it ready for the rental season. So.. this one's for you!!
