It's time for some ball.....

....Baseball and lacrosse that is!! Finally spring sports season is underway and I am loving it! It is going to be a busy spring but I guess that is how we roll when we have active kids. Conner's baseball team had its first tournament of the season this past weekend. Thursday night they lost but Saturday they came back and won two. Sunday we were back on the ball field for his first game. It was an afternoon game and if they won they would move to the Championship later in the day. Unfortunately they lost their first game on Sunday so they were out. After the game the coach asked the parents and players if they wanted to continue to do some tournaments. Of course all the boys were in and I did not hear any objections from parents. So now it looks like Conner's baseball team will be playing in the regular rec league along with a few tournaments. I think it will be a lot of fun and it can only help the kids learn how to play together. Many of the teams we face now have been together for YEARS. This is Conner's first year on this team. He played with them for regions and states last spring/summer but as for the season this is a first. The boys are very talented and they all seem to think baseball (most of the time). We still often have that one inning that falls apart. Once they can work through that I think they will be on fire!! Conner did great at bat. He had his first double of the season. He also had am amazing catch in the outfield which I missed because the dugout was in the way. By the time I made it to the fence, he was throwing the ball in. Chris was right next to it and said it was awesome!! GO CONNER!!
Avery also had his first game of the season on Saturday. Thankfully it was a home game. Avery in on a team that travels all over the Atlanta area. I think this weekend we will be in Decatur which is about 45-60 minutes from home, depending on traffic. He played a lot of the game but I think he had the first game nerves. He was still a little smaller than a lot of the boys on the other team. He is so cute back at defense with his long stick (which is still taller than he is). I am sure soon he will grow into it. He is pretty aggressive most games. I have to make sure that I get some video of him playing along with some action shots. I tend to forget to do that because I get so excited when he is in the play.
Here are some other pictures of the boys this weekend. Can't wait for some more games to get some other pictures... enjoy...

Kennedi is going to school!!!

Yes, it is true. We just got back from signing her up for a Children's Morning Out program. It is at the Methodist Church in a near town. I am so excited for Kennedi. She doesn't start until next school year of course and we started out with one day a week to see how she likes it. We can add a day if we want to (provided there are spots). She is going to have so much fun. She is keeping up the family tradition. I have nieces and nephews that went to this school, Conner and Avery also went there. It will be fun to have Kennedi there as well. She will turn 1 right before she starts. My baby is going to school!!!

I love swings!!!

I think today will be a multi-part blog. I need to catch up from the last few days of the week and then when I get home tonight or maybe tomorrow add the pictures of Conner's tournament and Avery's lacrosse game. Whew its been a busy Saturday and it's not even 2:30 yet! We are still waiting to hear what time we play baseball game #2 of the day. Hopefully we will hear soon. Its going to be either 5 or 7 pm.
In the meantime, here are some pictures from Friday that are just great!! Kennedi and I went to a consignment sale to check out some toys. She did not get any toys but she did get some cute outfits, a couple puzzles and about 5 books. I did great! After the sale we were downtown in Newnan so I decided to take her to a nearby park. The weather was great and I wanted to see if they had baby swings... BINGO!
Here are some pictures of her first time swinging. She loved it! Conner says we have to get her used to all that stuff so she isn't scared to ride the roller coasters at 6 flags (many years down the road).

I love this outfit. Kennedi got it from one of the baby showers that we had. I never thought she would be able to wear it this fast since its a 12 month.

A Tooth!!

First things first, we have our first tooth!! I noticed it 2 days ago and I am still trying to get a picture of it. Kennedi won't let me see it too long. I did notice today when she was eating lunch that it looks like another one is very close behind. I guess that would explain the fussiness the past 2 weeks or so. I just wish that would also explain the lack of a long nap the past few days. It seems like just when I get into something for myself when she is napping, I hear her in the crib. I did get to finish a book and i really want to catch up on her scrapbook. I guess little by little it will get done.
Sunday night I looked out Kennedi's window when I was about to put her to bed and I saw this. I did not know that the boys (I am guessing Avery) made the snow angel earlier that day. It was so pretty and of course I had to get some pictures.
Yesterday after Kennedi woke up from her crap nap I decided to go through her clothes and put away everything that is too small for her. Being that she is wearing a 12 month right now and I still had some 3-6 month out for her it was time. She played on her floor (she loves her toys) while I did that. As I was going through her clothes I saw a lot of 12 month hand me downs. Now when I say hand me downs I mean LONG time ago. Most of them were from my niece Caitlyn (who is now 16) but I found out last night that my other two nieces, Amanda and Natalie also wore some of them. At what point are they going to be antiques since Amanda 24 (or close to it). The outfit below is one of those hand me downs. I am going to have to take a picture of each outfit when she wears them.
I put a lot of clothes in to the first consignment sale last weekend. When I went back to get what did not sell there were not many items left. YES!!! I am holding on to most of the baby things and clothes until Chris and I decide if Kennedi is going to be the last or not.
I suppose that it all for now. It is supposed to be in the 70's here this weekend which is wonderful because Conner has a baseball tournament and Avery a lacrosse game. Spring is finally here!! Well at least in the sports sense it is!!

Snow in Georgia!!

You never know about this Georgia weather! It is warm and sunny near the 70's one day and then snowing the next. I always say that Georgia is the only state you need a winter coat in the morning and in the afternoon you can be out in your bathing suit. We did not just have snow today, we had thunder snow! That is a new term to me but in the middle of the snow storm we had thunder and lightning. I don't know, I always thought snow in the winter and thunderstorms in the summer. I guess it goes back to my winter jacket and bathing suit thought.
The boys had a blast playing in the snow, they made a snowman and snow angels which I have not loaded onto the computer yet. Kennedi was not too sure about it all. She loved to look at the snow falling from the window. I have decided that I need to get a few sleds for the house in case of emergencies. I just do not know if they are anywhere to be found in the south.
Here is the front of the house and the snow..
I LOVE THIS HOUSE!
Hey mom... look at me!!
Mom, its too cold to look!!
Avery going down the hill

Hey.. who said southerners can't drive in the snow??
Conner busting his bottom going down the hill
My 3 angels about to play in the snow..

Hey mom.. I can't put my arms down!!
This is a baby straight out of A Christmas Story!
Well I guess that is it for now. They just announced that schools are closed tomorrow so I am sure the kids are going to have a blast playing in the snow for another day... or whatever is left of it!!
Happy Sunday!!
