Kennedi stuff....

OK I totally forgot to blog about Miss. K!! Of course she did not get to ride anything while we were at Busch Gardens but she was such a good girl!! In fact, she has been wonderful the entire time. She has adjusted to the pack and play and being in a strange room (both at the house and at the hotel) and has been wonderful with not having her two usual long naps each day. She has napped in the stroller and has done great! She is getting a little bit of a cold we think. Poor thing has a very runny nose. I would think it was from the beach air (and still maybe) but who knows.
Lets see... while we have been here she has taken a few crawls. She moves her hands up, and will pull her legs in before going to her tummy for her combat crawl. She has that down great!!
Since we have been on vacation she has wanted big girl food a lot more! She has eaten little bites of our food when we have something soft enough. Today for her lunch she had ham and cheese. Chris cut it up of course and she LOVED it... here are some pictures of her first real food lunch! She is getting so big!!
Conner told me the other day that he did not want her to turn 1 (we still have a few months for that but its coming entirely too fast).....
OK I think that is all for the past few days!

A few days of spring break.

Well lets see where I left off.....
......Monday morning Chris, the kids and I left the beach and headed to Williamsburg, Va for a few days. We found a hotel not far from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens that had a suite for a really cheap rate. I was a little worried because of the rate but it turned out to be decent for the amount of time that we were going to spend there. It also had an indoor pool (but the kids didn't get in) and a game room (that they did get into). Sooo we left to go up and when we were almost there it started to rain, I mean rain really hard.. (figures). Anyway, we decided to stop by the hotel and see if we could check in (which we could). So we got settled and the rain soon stopped. We headed over to Busch Gardens about 11:00am. It was nice since there was almost no one there!! It rained on and off for about 2 hours but it was not bad. We rode the rides and had a lot of fun. The best part was that there were NO lines!! I love to go to parks but I loathe waiting in line for a 90 second ride! Conner and Chris were able to go on the best roller coaster like 10 times in a row!! They were in heaven.
I was also able to get a few pictures of the boys... I had to really talk them (especially Conner) into them since he is at that "cool" teenager stage.
Conner and Kennedi are stomping grapes into wine...
row row row your boat... ahh the things they do for their baby sister!!

Kennedi LOVES Elmo already so we had to get a picture of her in the King Elmo chair. This is where Conner drew the line but we did not even have to talk Avery into it.

The next day we went to Williamsburg. The boys were less than thrilled about this but I told them they had to do something educational over break. It was also very cold that day, the only cold cold day we had. We spent a few hours there walking around and looking in the shops and then headed out. After the boys said it was "OK".. yeah right.

The last day up there we went back to Busch Gardens. It was a nice day but boy was it crowded. We spent half the day there and then came back to the beach house. I think we all got spoiled with it being so empty on Monday that no one wanted to wait the 20 minutes it took in line to ride the rides. The rest of the week we are going to just hang out at the house and play on the beach some (there are people in the water today), then its back to reality on Saturday. The worst part of going home is that Chris works everyday for the rest of the month. He is not looking forward to 18 straight!! YUCK!!

Ahh Spring Break!!!

Let me just start out by saying... it is not fun to make a 10 hour drive through the night after working a 10 hour shift!!! That is what Chris told me yesterday. I have made the drive up here many many times through the night but this time it was so much harder. We arrived at the house about 6am Saturday morning. I was exhausted. Chris did almost all of the driving (thankfully) but I was not able to sleep because I knew that he must also be tired. But the kids were really good. Kennedi slept most of the drive as did Avery. Conner was awake for awhile but gave in and slept a lot!! Kennedi did so much better than I had expected. She would cry when she woke up and could not find her pacifier. This has pretty much been the norm the whole time we have been here. She has been a pretty good sleeper. I can only imagine how it is for a baby to switch gears and be in a strange place and a different bed. She has adjusted great!
Saturday we did not do a whole lot, of course we went to the beach and walked . Her is a picture of Daddy and Kennedi walking up the boards to the beach for Kennedi's first time. The boys actually brought the skim boards up and went into the water some. It was COLD!! Avery is in the water. CRAZY!! Of course we had to try Kennedi out in the sand to see how she would like it. I have posted some pictures of her... This is her first time making contact with the sand......and she loved it!! I would have thought it was going to go right into her mouth but that was not the case. I am sure this summer that will change! She was kind of funny because she would pick it up in handfuls with her left hand but her right hand she would use her two pincher fingers for the pick up.
I love this picture of Daddy and Kennedi. You do not have to tell me how much they look a like, I am aware of it!! Even though the water was really cold we had to let Kennedi see what the "big bathtub" was like. I predicted that she would scream because of the water temperature...
She stood in the water and really liked that too... The coldness did not seem to bother her at all! Chris takes her in a little further. I wish it had been warm so that we could have taken her in all the way. I guess I have to wait for summer for that!
Daddy... I want to go in the water some more!!
She had a great time.. I came to the conclusion that I am really going to have to watch her this summer at the beach. She will be really mobile by then (but hopefully not walking)... I guess I will get my exercise.
Here are some other pictures that we took on the beach...
I have absolutely no idea what Conner was doing but I had to add it in here..

and it would not be fair if I didn't add the same picture of Avery...
and the three kids relaxing in the dune....Tomorrow we are heading out for a few days at Busch Gardens. Conner cant stop talking about the roller coasters. We will see if he follows through and rides them all!!
