My 1st Five Question Friday!!!

My Little Life

Here I go with the 1st Five Question Friday!! With a morning like I have had I need a little fun! If you want to learn more about it head on over to My Little Life and find out!!

;) And, if you don't have a blog...feel free to answer the questions in the comments below!

1. What is the one thing that you reach for the most in a day (excluding phones and computers)?

hmm wow I don't know... toilet paper??? I mean really I am female so I need it every time I go into the bathroom. Wait... maybe not, maybe the soap dispenser since I wash my hands a lot more than I go to the bathroom (but every time I go to the bathroom!).

2. What is the farthest you have been from home?

Germany, I went with my parents when I was in 8th grade.

3. What kind of cell phone do you have? Love it or hate it?

I have the Blackberry Storm.... I like it when it works well but it always seems to be freezing, needs to be rebooted or something like that.

4. Coke or Pepsi?

Coke all the way!! Born in GA and Dad at one time worked for Coke. I am not even sure there was a Pepsi product in out house growing up.

5. If you could go back and change anything about your wedding day, what would it be and why?

Wow, this is a hard one. I do not think I would change anything about my wedding (my 2nd one). It was on the beach with only us and my kids. It was absolutely perfect!

Well, there it is, my friends!! Can't wait to read your answers!

Wordless Wednesday... (well a few words)

Kennedi's new trick!!

I did it!

I can see outside

look mama... no hands

music time...

and it also includes steps!! She tries to climb everything... the TV stand, couches, ottoman.. whatever!

at least it's not the flu again!

Avery felt great last night and then again this morning when he woke up. He decided that he would be able to go to school so he went through his morning routine and headed out to the front porch to wait for the bus. It was raining here again this morning (I know that is so hard to believe) so he stayed covered.

Avery and Conner are heading to their dads house today after school and will be home tomorrow. I got a text from his dad saying that he was on his way to pick up Avery and that he had a doctors appointment at noon. Poor kid!! His head and throat was hurting him.

When I got to the doctor there we no indications that he was sick. He was running a little bit of a temp but nothing much but with all that he was still talking a mile a minute.

We went back into the room and Kennedi saw the nurse and must have thought "oh crap" (Kennedi, not the nurse) and she ran to me and hung on to me. I guess she has a great memory. The past few times we have been to the doctor with her she has gotten shots. I guess now it registered. It was so nice to have Kennedi holding me tightly while sitting in my lap, since that never happens.

Anyway, Avery is all clear and only has a sinus infection. Sheesh this has been a pain!! We have NEVER EVER gotten the flu shot before and he has been sick with something since a week after we had gotten it. I know it is just coincidence but man that is bad timing.

It always happens to Avery...

My poor Avery..... two weeks ago he had the swine H1N1 flu and strep throat at the same time. Then last night he started to complain that his throat hurt again. I figured this was an excuse to get out of school until I felt his head. He had a fever once again of 101.3. No school for Avery! But that was not all for last night.

Apparently while I was rocking Kennedi last night he had a chair fall on his foot. I had no idea this happened. He said he screamed and called for me but I guess being almost totally deaf in one ear has its advantages (it is a lot easier to tune kids out). So he hobbles up to my room a little while later and while showing me his wounded foot, he leaned back and whacked his head on my bed's foot board. I look at him trying to hold back my laughter (but of course I didn't) and said, "well I guess your foot doesn't hurt anymore." Its OK, he cracked up then too.

So Avery got a day off of school today. He woke this morning and was ok but very tired. Of course that 24 hour fever rule was in effect. He slept most of the day today and then did some school work that his teachers emailed me. Yes I was a mean mom and made him do work while he was home sick.

As it stands now, Avery is OK, going back to school tomorrow and I am holding my breath wondering if and who that little virus will hit next.

Conner had his baseball conditioning today and came home completely worn out. He said it was a rough day! I love it that they are getting their tales worked.

Kennedi had a great day in school today. She cried for about 30 seconds when I left her and when I picked her back up 4 hours later she was playing so nicely. Her teacher said he did great and didn't cry during the day!! Oh, its the little things that I so appreciate!

Here is what she wore to school today... So cute!!

Kennedi and Daddy (before Daddy left for work)

The rear view of her outfit (it is the back of the cows)

Daddy and Kennedi again

Kennedi dancing. Whenever she hears music she busts out in dance
