Kennedi's room and update....

Hey everyone... I just wanted to post a quick update....

The nursery is done!! I cant wait to get home and see it all in person but I have some pictures that Becca sent to me.... I will post some more when I get home.

We are heading home in the morning and will be driving all day... YUCK!! The drive up here was not too bad, I did swell some but I followed my instructions and I stopped every 2 hours to walk some. It will be nice to be the passenger this time.

There have not been any changes to report, thankfully. I got some rest and sun the past two weeks. The water was nice most days and it only rained one day (to where it kept us from the beach).

We go back to the doctor this week so I will have another update then. I am hoping that Kennedi comes a little early because its getting close to going back to work and I sure would love to have another 12 weeks off!

34 week doctors appointment...

Hey everyone...

Chris and I went to my 34 week appointment this morning. Again, not much to report which is just fine right now. I gained 2 pounds and according to them I have only gained 31 pounds total. That is not too bad. Of course knowing my pre pregnancy weight I have gained a little more than that. My blood pressure is still good at 120/70 and so far no swelling. Kennedi's heart rate was 144 this morning. My iron is low so I am now taking iron pills. I guess that is why I am tired all the time.

Everything looks good for the trip on Sunday. When I get home I will be a few days under 37 weeks and will start to go to the doctor every week. I got the speech about stopping every 2 hours to walk and drink lots of water... The 9 hour drive is going to turn into more of an 11 hour drive. But I guess i will listen and stop and walk when I am supposed to.

An update on Conner's baseball team... we are still playing. He actually has a game tonight at 7pm and then another tomorrow. Yes the 4th of July we will be playing baseball but that is ok.. it is the semi-finals.

Progress of the nursery

Hey everyone... I just wanted to post some pictures of the nursery. Becca came over today and spent a lot of time in Kennedi's room. It looks so good!!

The first three pictures are of parts of the blanket for Kennedi's crib. This is what I gave Becca for her to get ideas from. She has done an excellent job keeping with the theme and I am so happy with the way it is turning out. It will be a few weeks before I can post pictures of the next step in the process because when she comes back to finish I will be at the beach! that is going to be so hard to know its getting done and I can't see each step! She is going to Disney next week with her kids and she comes home 2 days before I leave for the beach. THANK YOU BECCA FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE SO FAR!! IT LOOKS AWESOME!!

On another note Conner starts the state tournament this weekend for baseball. It's a week long tournament so starting Saturday we will be living and breathing baseball for at least 6 days. The championship game is Friday at 9pm. I hate that we could be playing ball on the 4th of July but that sure would beat the fireworks!!! GOOD LUCK SHARPSBURG NATIONALS!!!

31 week doctors appointment

hey again...

Chris and I went to my doctors appointment this morning. It was a quick one so there is not a lot to report. My BP was still great 124/72 and I had only gained one pound since my last appointment. YEAH! I always worry about the BP since they take it right after you see how much you weigh. I think I am going to go take a tour of the hospital tomorrow evening. They only have the tours 2 times a month or so and its so hard to fit it into our schedule. I have heard that I will love the rooms. From what I have heard they are suites, which is a lot different than what they were when Conner and Avery were born.

I think that is actually all to report today. I go back in two weeks, actually on July 3rd. A few days after that I go to the beach for a couple of weeks and when I come back I will be just about 37 weeks!! At that point I will go every week... and Kennedi will soon be here. Not too much longer.

update and showers

Hey everyone… well I am 31 weeks and one day according to our calculations… as of today we only have about 62 days to go. We do not go to the doctor until Friday but I wanted to send a quick update about the past few weeks.

Mom and my sisters had a baby shower for Chris and me a few weeks ago. I was waiting to bog about it until I got some pictures to post. My computer died so I had to wait until I got it back. We got a lot of really cute clothe. Now Kennedi’s closet if officially full. We do not need another outfit for her that is under 12 month. We also got the diaper pail, stroller system and many of the ladybug accessories for her room.

A few days after that, I had my shower at work, Again we got so much that we needed. We got the rain forest jumparoo which I know she will love, lots of diapers and wipes and of course more clothes. We also got the boppy and a cover. We are now almost ready for Kennedi to be here and that we have most of the essentials at this point.

It amazes me how technical some of the baby things are. It took me about 30 minutes to figure out how the lid went on the diaper pail. Usually I have a ton of common sense but it seems that since I have been pregnant that has gone out the window. I just hope it comes back when the baby is here.

We also had Chris’ son Dakota two weeks ago for the week. He is 41/2 and seems to be really excited about his sister being here. We took him out and bought him some kid’s books about a baby and being a big brother. He did a lot of asking about when Kendi (as he calls her) will be here. At four he has no idea as far as time frame.

I am also in the progress of having the nursery painted. Becca came over yesterday and drew out the scene on the wall. She is in there as I type painting part of the scene. It looks so cute so far and it’s exactly like the theme of the room. I can’t wait until it is all done and I will be sure to post pictures of the completed project.
